Motor Mounts

The DIY UZ Swap Motor Mount Kit offers customizable engine placement for your swap project. This modular kit includes CNC-cut engine and frame plates, bushings, nuts, bolts, and washers, all tailored to your specified engine and chassis. NWT handles the complex cutting and shaping, so you can focus on fitting, bolting, and welding the laterals and gussets to achieve the perfect alignment. Ideal for those requiring forward, backward, or lateral engine positioning with professional-grade components and fitment flexibility.

Lift Kits

1" body lifts are recommended for proper clearance and are designed to work with our DIY Motor Mounts. The Lift Kit features precision CNC-machined black UHMW body blocks, engineered for durability and a perfect fit. The kit includes all necessary bolts, nuts, washers, and body blocks, with extra 3/8" hardware to accommodate different vehicle years. Depending on your model, you’ll use the appropriate combination of longer or shorter bolts to ensure a secure and professional installation. Ideal for enhancing ground clearance while maintaining factory alignment and integrity.

Adapter Harness
Our Adapter Harness is designed for applications that have a used, good-condition, fully intact engine wire harness from the donor vehicle. Our Conversion Adapter Harness connects directly to the engine wire harness and the ECU, working in conjunction with the donor engine wire harness to complete the engine wiring circuit. Note: The Adapter Format of our conversion harness will not work with “JDM” engine wiring (from the Japanese Domestic Market).  Our Engine wiring format is recommended for use with JDM donor engines. 

Engine Harness
Our Engine Harness completely replaces the engine wire harness, while also providing the portion of the donor engine circuit that was originally part of the body wiring. This harness is a combination of an engine wire harness and an adapter harness, housing 100% of the UZ engine circuit in one all-new piece. It is intended for situations when the donor engine wiring is missing, cut, or in poor condition, or when all-new wiring is desired. It also works well for JDM import engines, as the JDM engine wiring is hard to use in a swap application. Note: The UZ Engine Format will include both the knock sensor and front-engine sub-wiring harnesses, all new.

Battery Cables

Battery cables are designed specifically for the 1UZ engine conversion using the Custom Wire Harness. Tailored for 1979-1995 Truck and 4Runner models, these cables are custom-built for optimal length and routing to accommodate battery placement in either front corner of the engine bay. Each set includes durable military-style battery terminals, ensuring reliable connections and professional-grade performance in your engine conversion project.

Battery Relocation Tray

The 1UZ Battery Relocation Tray Passenger Side is engineered for 1984-1995 Toyota Pickups and 4Runners undergoing engine swaps that require moving the battery to the left-hand side of the engine bay. Designed to fit securely behind the headlight and coolant overflow tank, this tray offers a sturdy mounting surface made from durable 14-gauge mild steel. Installation requires drilling mounting holes in the fender area. The basic version provides a solid platform, while the full tray includes a battery tie-down for added security. It is optimized for Group 34 batteries and comes unpainted, ready for customization.

*Manual Conversion Parts

The following parts are relevant for swaps with a manual conversion. If you are using an automatic transmission, these selections will not be available.

*Flywheel

Our billet-steel flywheel is a new 27-lb unit that bolts directly to the 1UZ, 2UZ, and 3UZ crank snout without modification or spacers (like a good flywheel should).

The flywheel is five pounds heavier than a stock cast-iron flywheel, expands low-RPM torque, and improves your ability to maintain engine speed while driving and crawling.NWT’s flywheels are designed, machined, and built in the USA.

*Clutch Kit

Select the appropriate clutch kit for your application. Each kit includes the following components: pressure plate, clutch disk, pilot bearing, throw-out bearing, and alignment tool. All clutch kits are designed & machined in the U.S.A.

The NWT Dual Comp Clutch Kit for UZ Conversion is designed for off-road enthusiasts who seek enhanced clutch pressure without compromising daily drivability. Featuring a hybrid clutch disc with metallic pucks on one side for superior holding power and a fiber lining on the other for smooth engagement, this kit strikes a balance between performance and comfort. Ideal for multi-use vehicles with upgraded horsepower, it offers a firmer feel than stock clutches but remains more manageable than high-metallic options.

*Bell Housing

The Bell Housing Adapter for 1UZ, 2UZ, and 3UZ engines is specifically designed for use with Toyota R-series and W-series transmissions. Made from high-quality aluminum, this kit includes the bell housing, front input shaft extension, and pivot mount, ensuring precise fitment. The slave cylinder mounting area is designed with extra height and adjustable positioning to accommodate various slave cylinders. While the mount comes pre-drilled, some trimming, re-drilling, or tapping may be necessary depending on the specific slave cylinder selected.

Unlock the full potential of your 1UZ, 2UZ, or 3UZ V8 swap with a set of precision-engineered UZ Swap Headers, designed for the tight Toyota engine bays. These are designed for 1989 - 1995 Pickups and 4Runners. Designed to deliver maximum flow and minimum hassle, these headers offer bolt-on performance, perfect clearance, and exceptional durability for your V8 conversion.

These fabricated headers replace the restrictive OEM UZ manifolds with equal-length, mandrel-bent runners, significantly improving exhaust scavenging, reducing back pressure, and enhancing throttle response.

Each set is specifically designed to tuck cleanly between the frame rail and anti-sway bar, while retaining your factory-style steering linkage. That means no cutting, no smashing, no guesswork — just clean, confident fitment in your rig. We use factory Toyota-style connector gaskets, so spares are easily sourced should you ever need to remove the exhaust.

Note: These headers do not have provisions for EGR. You will need to either use our EGR Block plate or provision your exhaust to reconnect it if you plan on keeping it.

Oil Pan

The stock front sump layout found on most UZ engines won’t clear the front axle or crossmember of older Hilux, Pickup, and 4Runner chassis. This upgrade is the only way to get proper clearance, oil capacity, and safe engine positioning.

The Welded Rear Sump Pan ***ships in 2-3 weeks *** offers a robust, pre-assembled solution for your engine swap needs. Crafted from steel and fully welded, it ensures durability and precise fitment. Designed as a drop-in component, installation is straightforward; bolt it in place without additional welding or modifications. Ideal for professionals seeking a reliable, time-saving rear sump option that maintains structural integrity and performance.

The DIY Weld-Together Kit provides flat-packed steel pieces that you can TIG/MIG yourself to save on costs or customize further. This kit is perfect for experienced fabricators or builders who want to control the weld process, customize their setup, or save on cost while still getting trail-proven engineering.

Fuel Hose

This braided stainless steel fuel hose is engineered for converting from a 22R-E, 3VZ, 5VZ, or 3RZ engine setup to a 1UZ engine setup. The hose connects the stock Toyota fuel line on the passenger-side frame rail to the 1UZ fuel inlet, located on the driver's side of the engine. The hose threads directly into both factory fittings, accommodating Toyota’s everyday use of a union with a male 14M nut on the fuel line. Compatible with inline fuel filters found on V6 models, this hose ensures proper fuel delivery. For vehicles originally equipped with a 4-cylinder engine, a version with a built-in Fuel Lab 10-micron rebuildable filter is recommended.


Power Steering

The High-Pressure Power Steering Hose is available in options for both ABS-equipped and non-ABS Toyota chassis.  Engineered for precision fitment and long-term reliability, this hose connects your 1UZ V8’s power steering pump to the factory Toyota steering rack with zero guesswork.

This high-pressure line bridges the gap between the 1UZ power steering pump and the recipient chassis' steering system, providing the correct pressure flow and fitting sizes to maintain full power steering assist. It eliminates the need for custom fabrication, risky re-flaring, or spliced lines.

During a 1UZ conversion, mismatched hydraulic fittings and pressure ratings can compromise steering performance, or worse, cause dangerous leaks. This hose is designed with the correct fittings and length to ensure clearance and compatibility, particularly on vehicles not equipped with rear-wheel ABS, which have unique routing paths.

The Power Steering Package includes all the necessary components to upgrade the power steering system on your 1UZ-FE swap. This includes our exclusive Northwest Toys 6 x 6 Rib Power steering pulley, the new Trail Gear 1650 Power Steering Pump, and our exclusive power steering pump adapter bracket for a perfect fit and hassle-free installation. The Steering Shaft Upgrade replaces the bulky OEM shaft with a more compact, responsive, and swap-friendly solution — no cutting or welding required. This kit relocates and improves your steering shaft geometry to clear the UZ headers and frame while eliminating excessive play found in worn factory joints. Featuring high-quality u-joints and a compact, collapsible design, it provides a tighter steering feel, better exhaust clearance, and improved safety.

Cooling

Radiator ***ships in 4-6 weeks ***
The aluminum radiator is for UZ swaps with nutserts, allowing for flexible installation—order just the radiator or add the shroud and A/C system as needed, saving time and cost. Featuring dual-row 1" diameter tubes and TIG-welded tanks without epoxy, it ensures superior cooling performance for demanding conditions like hot beach days or rugged trails.


This Upper Radiator Hose fits the UZ engine paired with NWT radiators, delivering OEM-quality performance and reliability. Constructed from an EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and a heft-ozone and chemical-resistant EPDM cover, it resists collapse under vacuum and electrochemical degradation—the primary causes of hose failure.


The Lower Radiator Hose is designed for the UZ engine, paired with NWT radiators, to deliver OEM-quality performance and reliability. Constructed from an EPDM tube with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement and a heat-ozone and chemical-resistant EPDM cover, it resists collapse under vacuum and electrochemical degradation—the primary causes of hose failure.


This Full-Frame A/C Condenser, measuring 14 × 20 inches, provides efficient heat exchange to optimize your vehicle’s air conditioning performance. Designed to fit precisely and withstand demanding conditions, it ensures reliable cooling and durability. Ideal for professional installations requiring a robust and effective condenser solution.


The 16" Electric Fan optimizes airflow and cooling efficiency. This fan complements your cooling system perfectly, helping maintain ideal engine temperatures under demanding conditions. Its reliable performance ensures your vehicle stays cool, improving overall durability and operation.


The Variable Speed Fan Controller includes everything you need—sensor, relay, and wiring—to fine-tune cooling for high-demand diesel swaps, hot-rodded Toyotas, or performance engines. This thermostatic controller senses engine coolant temp (160–240°F adjustable range) via a thread‑in sending unit, automatically activating your electric fan(s) only when needed. It ensures ideal operating temps, reduces belt drag, and improves cooling system longevity.


The Billet-Aluminum Thermostat Housing upgrades your coolant intake system, designed to replace cracked or broken plastic housings. Crafted from durable aluminum, it offers enhanced strength and reliability. Installation requires removal of the original plastic housing and studs, after which the new housing can be securely mounted using the included stainless steel fasteners. This upgrade not only ensures a leak-free, long-lasting fit but also adds a polished, professional appearance to your engine bay.


EGR Block-Off Plates
